| Biography: | |
| I was born in a small village in East Germany and immigrated to Canada at age seven with my mother and grandmother. Being an only child and not speaking English, drawing was my retreat. Drawing and painting became an ardent passion. Financially unable to pursue art as a career and my mother terminally ill, I trained as a registered nurse at the University of Saskatchewan. Marriage soon followed and my husband and I where blessed with 2 beautiful daughters. As Time permitted, I took art classes, learned from workshops and studied the works of world class artists. Experimenting, I explored different mediums and styles for making marks on canvas. My desire to create continued to intensify and since the year 2000 I have been painting full time realizing a life long dream. With the creative urge God has given me, I am constantly motivated and challenged. Abstracted images and pure abstraction has given me great liberty in expressing myself and expanding my boundaries. It is very gratifying to have my works in numerous collections in Canada and Abroad. |
